This short 5 week course is designed for adult students, although it is suitable for a wide range of students who wish to gain a basic, introductory understanding of Ceramics.
This course is designed to get you started with the process of making ceramic work and to familiarize yourself with the different stages of clay and ceramics. You will learn the difference between clay and ceramics, clay properties and drying stages, and various construction and decorating techniques.
The course is taught through weekly practical classroom sessions and will be delivered through a series of structured sequential tasks. There is no formal examination to the course.
The class time is 2 hours per week for 5 weeks.
Tuesday evening 6-8pm
This is not a formal qualification.
Level 1 and 2 Ceramics is available for those wishing to develop their skills further.
