What’s it all about?

This course is ideal if you want an introduction to the hairdressing sector. You will be introduced to styling hair, plaiting and twisting, shampooing and you will also study health & safety, personal presentation and working in the industry.

Completion of GCSE or KS4 courses English & Maths at an appropriate level and achievement of a practical skills assessment.

19+ please enquire You may need to buy a hairdressing kit and you will need to supply your own stationary, pen, notebook and an A4 ring binder file. You will be given the opportunity to take part in external trips and visits and these will incur an additional cost.

You will learn through a variety of teaching methods including practical and theoretical. You will learn in the classroom and in our hairdressing training salons.

English and Maths are important life skills that will help you achieve your best in your studies and progress to your dream career. If you have not achieved grade 9-4 in GCSE English/or Maths at school, we will support you to improve your skills.

You will have the opportunity to attend masterclasses, guest speakers and competitions.

This course is ideal if you would like to pursue a career within the hairdressing industry.
