What’s it all about?

This course is for people working in the motor vehicle industry painting vehicles or those wishing to gain qualifications to enhance their current job role. You will learn the correct procedures for applying base, top and clear coats mixing and matching techniques and special effect finishing.

The course is the third level for vehicle painting you will need the Level 2, and basic literacy skills.

You will learn the theory of paint operations in the classroom and work on vehicles in the paint shop. You will be assessed through coursework and will take an online test.

English and Maths are important life skills that will help you to achieve your best in your studies and progress to your dream career. If you have not already achieved grade 9-4 in GCSE Maths and/ or English at school, we will support you to improve your skills.
