Becky said Sunderland College was welcoming and had a friendly vibe. She described her time here as professional, exciting and fun. She is now studying BA (Hons) Acting at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts (ALRA) in London.

She said:
“When deciding where to study, i attended many open evenings and taster days at Sunderland College as it was very close to home. I was amazed at the facilities the college provided, in particular for performing arts.

The staff and students were so friendly and welcoming and provided me with so much support. The course allowed me to have a lot of creative freedom in performing; there were no limitations and my imagination could run free. It also gave me the confidence to work in the professional industry.

The Arts Academy is such an amazing facility for performing arts students. The theatre is breath-taking and allows students to learn and perform as professionals. I had the amazing opportunity to take part in a workshop with physical theatre company PunchDrunk in London. This was one of my highlights of college because this once in a lifetime opportunity gave me professional experience and contacts with industry.

My two years with Sunderland College was honestly the best two years of my life. The facilities for the performing arts are out of this world and the staff provide so much care and support for you.”
