Yousif moved to the UK from Dubai four year ago. He started his studies here at the college with a BTEC level 2 in IT and then progressed onto Level 3 with us. He achieved great results in both courses, whilst running a small business with his Dad.
He said:
‘It was great to finally find out my results and that the hard work had paid off. They were as I has hoped however I am still delighted.
I have really enjoyed my time with Sunderland College. The university style learning was great for me, being trusted to use your own initiative makes a great difference in developing your attitude toward learning and it really prepared me well for the next step in my Education.
After completing his BTEC course and gaining his GCSE in Maths and English, Yousif moved onto pastures new. He is now studying a BA (Hon) in Computer Science and hopes to start his own business in Software Engineering someday.
